Campus Committee

The Campus Committee, comprising faculty, staff, and students from across the University, leads the planning of the Hesburgh Library renovation. Chaired by Mike Daly of the University Architect's Office, it provides oversight for the renovation process, meets and works with the SBRA architects, and sets the direction for the various Library committees that coordinate specific aspects of the renovation.

Library Services and Programs (LSP) Committee

Coordinates the day-to-day planning around the renovation of the 1st and 2nd floors of the Hesburgh Library relating to services to faculty and students, locations of such services, and their integration with other Library processes, departments, and functions.

    Communications Committee

    Creates mechanisms to gather input from stakeholders, disseminate such information to them, and facilitate discussion among them. It will ensure that current information about the renovation is always available in an appropriate fashion. Communications will monitor the LSP and its subcommittees for material for dissemination, or will coordinate announcements with sub-committees, the LSP, or with the Campus Committee.

    Learning Spaces Committee

    Investigates best practices in pedagogy and space design to lead the creation of effective learning spaces throughout the Library.

    Reshaping Public Services Committee

    Takes a holistic look at services provided directly to the public on the Lower Level, 1st and 2nd floors, discuss wayfinding mechanisms, and examine the relationship of the first-floor entryway to the Concourse, in order to make recommendations on appropriate locations of services.
